Stuttgart (DP) - Before launching the Mercedes-Benz B-Class 2012 at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2011, Mercedes-Benz divulge some information about the potential of this latest generation of compact cars. Say, the long dimension of 4359 mm, width 1786 mm, height 1557 mm. The car will have a smaller drag coefficient cd 0.28 thanks to a new, more aerodynamic designs. For starters, there will be new machines gasoline 4-cylinder 1600 cc engine (internal code M270) with a choice of B180 (122 hp and 200 Nm) and B200 (156 hp and 250 Nm).

Combustion poses new machines based on the direct injection system that introduced the third generation of MB last year via BlueDIRECT V6 and V8. Gasoline engines can be installed lengthwise and crosswise. While new diesel engines 1800cc 4-cylinder engine is the result of further development of machines OM651 used MB C-Class and S-Class, the 3rd generation common rail direct-injection. From 1800 cc engine is offered two models with different outputs B180 CDI (109 hp and 250 Nm at 1400 rpm) and the B200 CDI (136 hp and 300 Nm at 1600 rpm). For the first time B-Class will use a dual clutch automatic transmission 7G-DCT, in addition to a 6-speed manual transmission revised.
